The Faculty of Journalism is one of the youngest units of the National University "Odessa Law Academy". It was established in 2013. The Faculty provides programmes in "Journalism" and "Advertising and Public Relations" which give fundamental knowledge in theory and practice of journalism, advertising and public relations, mass communication, applied information and communication technologies, stylistics, linguistics, media psychology, intercultural and audio-visual communication, as well as web design.
The Faculty involves a young team of creative adherents and experienced scholars who are not afraid of experimentation and combine the best Ukrainian and European educational standards and practice.
The Faculty provides:
-a unique model of master classes, seminars, lectures and workshops conducted by leading Ukrainian and foreign scholars and experts;
-advanced study of foreign languages, computer and information technologies;
- internships at Ukrainian broadcasting companies, newspapers and magazines and foreign media;
-vast employment opportunities;
-a wide circle of contacts.
The graduates of the Faculty may take positions of correspondents, reporters, television and radio presenters, editors and editors-in-chief, proofreaders, copywriters, as well as press secretaries.
The graduates of the Faculty of Journalism are experts in advertising and public relations. They can manage advertising and PR agencies. They gain skills in media planning, project management, branding, design and copywriting and are able to: carry out marketing research; arrange advertising and PR campaigns; maintain public image and reputation of a company or a person; provide information and computer support for advertising or public relations; develop and promote corporate websites.
Our goal is to create a team of young journalists with advanced thinking.
