2015 12 21 1Due to the increasing demand for specialists in the field of international trade and the decision of the Scientific Council of the University to establish the European and International Law Master Programme (Fall 2016) during the first semester 2015/2016 Odessa Tempus Center was recommended to use a platform to study pilot class of International Trade Law. The class was prepared by Nataliya Yakubovska (Associate Professor at the Department of International Law and International Relations, Columbia Law School, RGSL) taking into account modern methodological standards of teaching and use of equipment.

It covered the treaty and customary rules governing the international and regional trade in goods and services as well as the WTO case law. Students were engaged in an in-depth analysis of WTO rules, examined the strengths and weaknesses of the existing trade regimes and the difficulties in their reforming the system, participated in a simulation of a WTO dispute settlement procedure (moot court proceedings).
